Transport yourself to the “Big Easy” and settle into a jam session in one of the many venues where jazz lives from Armstrong to Basie and beyond. Crank the handle and watch him sway from side to side, tap his foot in time with the imaginary beat, playing a Beatles classic from the music on the stand.
The Woody Blues uses a pair of round offset cams on the central crankshaft to provide movement via two large levers to the left and right legs. The levers are different sizes as are the cams but the really clever part waits at the back of the model. Two small offset cams are mounted under a disc, slotted in one end to increase friction which in turn is connected via a long rod to the head. When the crank is operated, the head moves from side to side, carrying with it the arms which are fixed to the clarinet and pivoted loosely at the shoulders allowing the side to side movement and it appears that our clarinet player is following the sheet music on the tripod stand.
Each model kit comes with

The models are manufactured from renewable wood sources and are design for age 9 and over. Younger builders may require the assistance of an adult. The models, both kits and built, are not suitable for children 3 years and under due to the risk of choking on the small parts.
