This cool Pianist who sits at a Grand Piano and plays for you, wearing his tail coat, is the latest in the Musician Series, completing our Quartet. He moves his hands and taps his foot in time to the music while the keys move up and down. Whether you prefer Lang Lang, Mozart, Liszt or Elton John……………….have fun with this one.
Sixteen cams arranged offset from one another supply the movement of the pivoted keyboard of the Pianist. The cams in the center of the shaft also bear on two yolks that are connected via pushrods to the left foot, which taps the beat and the upper body which moves in time with the keys so allowing the fingers which are all pivoted at the knuckles, to move with the keys as they move up and down. This model really demonstrates the clever relationship between the cams and other parts of the animated model connected with pivoted rods and levers.
