Penguins are one of the eternal “cute” offerings of the animal kingdom, immortalized in movies with their wobbly walk and their parental instincts enduring untold hardships. When you operate the crank, this little bird waggles its wings, moves its beak and marches along from side to side just like its Antarctic cousins.
A combination of two cam boxes, levers and pushrods provide multiple movements for the Penguin. One cam provides motive force to the beak and the feet while the other moves the body with transmission via the tail. The end result is a model which turns from side to side while opening and closing the beak and a real nice touch is that the feet go up and down in time to the body movement.
Each model kit comes with

The models are manufactured from renewable wood sources and are design for age 9 and over. Younger builders may require the assistance of an adult. The models, both kits and built, are not suitable for children 3 years and under due to the risk of choking on the small parts.
