This mechanism can be found in many animated models. Two sets of rotating cams on a shaft bear on two horizontally oriented discs that have stop pegs in them. The offset cams provide the too and fro movement by being set one hundred and eighty degrees opposite to each other. Put a shat into the horizontal discs and a head on top and you have the happy Kissing Couple. Simply elegant!
