The Medieval Weapons Series

Customers have been asking when we would see stock return to the Medieval Weapons Series and we are pleased to say that we now have the Trebuchet in stock.

The Oilfield Derrick

We have received the Oilfield Derrick and already sent over 200 kits out the door. This is not a true automaton but we felt it a worthwhile kit to produce as it contains smaller pieces and less of them thus making it simpler to assemble for both younger and older fingers.

The Pump House has a crank handle that transfers effort to the Pump at the bottom of the Derrick so it is by no means a static model.

This kit also represents our first attempt at producing the instructions in a different way. All other kits in the range use a combination of text and drawings and some of the instructions do leave a little bit to be desired in terms of clarity and sometimes even accuracy so we have decide to try and remedy that.

The instructions for the Oilfield Derrick use a combination of assembly photographs (similar to the Build Pictures available through the Forum) merged with text and we hope this will be easier to follow.

We currently have 2 kits out for review, one in the USA and one in Europe so we will let you know what feedback we get.
